The Powder is BACK!

I know that 5 days without snow is nothing. But we've been very, very spoiled. So when it started snowing yesterday, I was VERY excited.

Caught an early bus and we were riding by 8:30. Most of the day was spent riding fresh lines, knee to mid-thigh deep powder. And it just kept dumping. Free refills. It started off with just Tracey and me. Then after a few runs through Hirafu, we found Holly and Sara. We had a great girl crew going today...and we all shred like rockstars. We then went over to Annupuri and tore through the gates there. Once the winds picked up and we thought the top lifts were going to shut, we headed back to Hirafu and did some more runs there. We met up with Bananas, Aron and Magnus (who were being rockstars on skis) and ripped a few laps with them. It was hilarious - especially when Aron fell and I fell over straight away laughing at him. We also found a drop to flat - which was awesome and very funny.

After lunch, we headed over to Hanazono and rode the Gates just before they shut at 2pm. It is going to be deep in the gates tomorrow...it was very fresh when we rode through and it shut early. Then we managed to get some amazing runs on the way down to Hanazono base. Ran into swedes from the old hostel. Ripped a run with them. And I was stoked that cuz i was feeling very rockstar like, I managed to beat them down the hill. Hah!

We've already got almost knee deep snow in the parking lot down here...tomorrow is going to be snorkel material.
